Creativity

The climate crisis is immense; we must be daring and courageous in response. We embrace experiments and new solutions, recognizing that this crisis requires innovative ways of solving problems.

Collaboration  

We believe that everyone has something to bring to the table to help achieve transformational change. That means bringing people together and building diverse coalitions of students, workers, human rights and social justice groups, marginalized communities, faith groups, universities, and business owners.

Justice

The fight against climate change is a fight for justice. People all over the world are feeling the impacts, but the people suffering most are the ones who have done the least to cause the problem. Solutions to the climate crisis must center principles of justice and must not unfairly burden underserved communities.

Equity

We seek to guarantee fair treatment, access, opportunity, and advancement while at the same time striving to identify and eliminate barriers that have prevented the full participation of historically underserved and under-represented populations.

Diversity

We want to provide a space for ALL South Dakotans to work toward a sustainable future, regardless of background, beliefs, disability, race, marital status, gender identity, age, or national origin. We welcome the perspective of individuals from all walks of life - rural and urban, Native American and immigrant, young and old - seeking to learn from our elders and listen to our youth.
